ABOUT

IndieLand was started in 2018 as a partnership between Jirard "The Completionist" Khalil and The Open Hand Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization honoring the memory of his mother, Kaaren Khalil, and her battle with frontotemporal dementia with proceeds from the event going to supporting the research of and those suffering from dementia.

Evolution

IndieLand has evolved over the years. What started as a small gathering of indie games into various themed "lands" has blossomed into a revolving door of indie developers, publishers, celebrities and influencers coming together from across the globe to raise funds in the fight against dementia!

 

Some Fun from over the years

 

Over the past six years, IndieLand has raised over $600,000 and showcased over 200 unique indies while joined by the very teams that made these incredible games including Cult of the Lamb, Sea of Stars, Rift of the Necrodancer, and Chicory. Celebrities have also joined in the fun! From Dungeon Master and Comedian Brennan Lee Mulligan to AEW Superstar Adam Cole to R&B artist Sisqó to Academy Award winner Jamie Lee Curtis, everyone wants to join in the fight against dementia.
